The Financial Services Council of New Zealand (FSC) has announced the winners of its 2024 awards, recognising achievements in New Zealand’s financial services industry.
The awards were presented at the FSC Awards Dinner, held in conjunction with the FSC24 Conference in Auckland.
Congratulating all the winners, FSC acting CEO Haydee Stroud highlighted the competitive nature of this year’s entries.
“The quality of the entries and the number of great outcomes that have been a result of the work on show meant some challenging decisions for the judges,” she said.
Nearly 40 entries were received for this year’s awards, covering a broad spectrum of contributions, from individual efforts to team initiatives and community programs.
The awards aim to acknowledge the impact these efforts have on both the financial services industry and the wider community.
The event was sponsored by PwC New Zealand.
Fidelity Life CEO Campbell Mitchell congratulated Bennett for receiving the award for her efforts to improve access to financial advice and insurance.
“This recognition celebrates her contribution and inspires us to continue our mission of making a meaningful difference for New Zealand,” he said.
AIA New Zealand, which received the Excellence in Sustainability Practices Award for the second year in a row, expressed appreciation for the continued recognition.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability and to supporting the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders.
Commenting on the award, Southern Cross Health Insurance (SCHI) acknowledged its focus on fostering an inclusive workplace. It also credited its team for helping create a healthy and supportive environment for all employees.
Stroud commended the participants’ contributions to enhancing New Zealanders’ financial wellbeing and confidence.
“Thank you to all the entrants that took the time to participate this year, and it was a privilege to be able to see such a diverse range and high calibre of merit,” she said.
