With various illnesses spreading globally, Kiwis have started to become more concerned about their health. Luckily, Fidelity Life has partnered with global digital health company Sharecare to launch a free health app to help customers improve their health and wellbeing on a daily basis.
The Sharecare app includes RealAge, a clinically validated assessment that could calculate the user’s actual age based on their lifestyle and critical indicators for health risks. Sharecare can measure the user’s daily progress towards their personal health goals until they lower their initial “age.”
“Life insurance has always been about protecting what’s most important, and people everywhere are increasingly conscious of their health and wellbeing,” Nadine Tereora, chief executive officer of Fidelity Life, commented. “We know that customers want something tangible from their life insurer, so we have teamed up with Sharecare to help our customers, advisers, and staff live longer and better lives.”
The Sharecare app also includes personal features, content, and programs as well as opportunities to participate in challenges that offer incentives for engaging in healthy activities. It will be available to advisers in early April, to Fidelity Life customers in May, then to all Kiwis later in 2020.
“We’re delighted to join forces with Fidelity Life as our exclusive launch partner in New Zealand,” Riaan Rheeder, managing director of Sharecare Australia and New Zealand, said.
“Internationally, more than 45 million people have taken the RealAge test – the first step on the journey toward better health with Sharecare. We look forward to supporting New Zealanders as they manage and improve their wellbeing.”
