Starting Monday, AIG staff will work from the new office in Jarden House, a premium 15-storey building with a 5-star rating for environmental sustainability under the New Zealand Green Star system. The move supports the current office footprint and takes AIG a step closer to achieving its global commitment of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 or sooner.
“Our new workplace provides employees with a modern, collaborative space in a vibrant location, close to our customers, brokers and other business partners,” said AIG New Zealand CEO Toni Ferrier. “Our sustainability goals and today’s flexible working practices encourage businesses to do more with less. This move gave us the opportunity to rethink our way of working, with our people at the heart of our decision-making.”
Scott Pritchard, Precinct Properties CEO, said AIG’s relocation to Commercial Bay showed their “commitment to prioritising their people”.
“We are pleased to welcome AIG to the precinct portfolio. We continue to see strong demand for prime inner city office spaces and businesses wanting locations that [have] amenity offering for their employees,” he said.
