Not all brokers have been quick off the mark to use eDoc platforms, in fact, many have been reluctant. But a growing number are using it to better keep up with fast-evolving client expectations and to free themselves from time-stealing paper work. Insurance Business explains with this episode of RSA Expert Advice.
Video transcript below:
Reporter: If time is money and money time, brokers can’t afford to leave eDocs sitting on the table, not if you are looking to balance new client expectations and of course pursue leads. We are offering expert advice on adopting that technology today instead for putting it off for an increasingly effective tomorrow.
Brokers in the field are already moving to bring eDocs into their daily lives. It’s about keeping pace with client demands.
Robert Salganov, Canadian Insurance Brokers Inc.
Robert Salganov: Well, okay let’s face in today’s fast paced world, every second counts, the process now with easy docs is really simple, straight forward. Everything comes in electronically, so it’s access anyone that needs access to the file, whether it’s myself or one of my fellow colleagues.
Reporter: As the world speeds up, the insurance industry is having to do the same. Brokers just can’t afford to be left behind. eDocs are helping them keep pace.
Bryan Mo, RSA eBusiness Manager
Bryan Mo: Yeah, we are in a fast paced society today and fortunately eDocs allows brokers to stay on top of their customers. So we know brokers are traditional people and they are used to working in certain ways. We have worked closely with brokers and vendors to really help them understand the benefits of eDocs and implement the eDocs in such a way that it’s just a simple click of the button for them. They really frees up their staff to focus on sales as well as focus on other value add activities. So really help them close on the deals that they need to close on, address customers concerns right away and really give that hands on touch that they need in this day and age to really be competitive and stay relevant with the customers.
Reporter: There is another key benefit to eDocs. One that aligns with an environmentally sensitive client and their numbers make no mistake are growing.
Robert Salganov: Well that’s how it is. In today’s world everyone is thinking about the environment you know and when we say paper it’s great you know, a stack of paper one stack of paper saves a tree. One tree leads to two, two leads to four and before you know we are saving a forest with 2 or 5, it’s fantastic.
