The Canadian insurance technology sector will examine the implications of artificial intelligence at the upcoming the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) Members' Meeting.

Deloitte partners Mukul Ahuja and Firas Zawadi will deliver the keynote presentation at the April 16 event, bringing expertise in AI implementation for insurance organizations.

The meeting will explore how emerging technologies are reshaping traditional insurance practices as the industry seeks to navigate rapid technological change.

"The impact of AI on the insurance sector will only continue to grow," said Michael Lin, CSIO's chair of the board and chief information officer at Travelers Canada. The event comes at a time when the industry is increasingly reliant on technological innovation.

The presentation will address key challenges facing insurers, including how to leverage AI to enhance marketing, sales, and customer service. Ahuja and Zawadi will share case studies, future projections, and strategies for integrating AI into existing workflows.

CSIO represents over 43,000 brokers, insurers, and vendors, considered a significant network in Canada's insurance landscape.

Following the keynote address, attendees will participate in a members' reception, providing opportunities for industry professionals to discuss the technological challenges and opportunities facing their sector.

The meeting intends to discuss the insurance industry's ongoing efforts to balance technological innovation with traditional risk assessment and customer service approaches.

Scheduled for April 16, 2025, at One King West Hotel in Toronto.
