Global specialty (re)insurance group Chaucer has unveiled a new advertising campaign aimed at promoting the company’s business and highlighting its industry success. The campaign, created in partnership with award-winning creative agency Hogarth (WPP), will be displayed in key locations around the City of London and online.

The creative approach draws upon Chaucer’s distinctive maze pattern, a symbol of their problem-solving abilities introduced during a 2021 rebrand. Embedded within the maze are words representing the company’s core values and services, including “longevity,” “loyal,” “partners,” “expertise,” “innovation,” “certainty,” “dynamic,” and “insurance.” These words are intended to showcase what Chaucer consistently delivers to brokers and clients.

Richard Milner, CEO of Chaucer, emphasized the importance of the campaign in the context of a rapidly changing (re)insurance market. “The (re)insurance market is evolving quickly, with Chaucer at the forefront of this change, providing innovative solutions for new and emerging risks. Our advertising campaign showcases the leading attributes that we are known and valued for by our brokers and clients,” he said.

Greer Stead, Chaucer’s head of marketing, shared her enthusiasm for the campaign, noting its role in reinforcing the company’s identity. “I am delighted to unveil our new brand campaign, which provides us with an exciting opportunity to reinforce the qualities that distinguish Chaucer and shine a light on the quality of our people and our business,” she said.

In addition to its digital and print presence, the campaign will include an experiential event outside the Lloyd’s building later this month, further engaging the insurance community.

Chaucer is a specialty (re)insurance group, partnering with brokers, coverholders, and clients globally through Lloyd’s of London and company markets. As part of China Re Group, one of the world’s largest reinsurance companies, Chaucer benefits from strong financial backing, with China Re holding top ratings from AM Best and S&P Global.
