Insurance industry professionals have a new online source to seek out new talent, or find a new job to cure those winter blues.
InsuranceBusinessJobs has been online for a week now, and already several companies have posted opportunities for financial and insurance advisors and commercial lines managers.
“The premium employment opportunities that are out there today are online,” says Tim Duce, president and CEO of KMI Publishing and Events. “The industry is moving online, because that is where business is being conducted. Through the portal on the Insurance Business Canada home page, companies and those seeking work can come together with a click of a mouse.”
Under the ‘Jobs’ tab, there is a direct link that offers the option of a Job Search, to Post a Resume or to Post a Job. The search can be refined by province or by category – including Underwriting, Claims, IT and Brokering.
And for companies looking to hire, there is an added incentive of a free job posting promotion.
“We believe the proof is in the pudding, and companies will see the value of the site once they register,” says Duce. “This month alone, the Insurance Business website has garnered more than 76,000 page views and more than 31,000 visits. With an average visit time of more than two minutes and 18 seconds from insurance professionals across Canada, we predict the job page will be one of our more popular destinations on a website that has become an industry leader.”
