Major P&C insurance brokerage BrokerLink has announced that it has expanded its operations in three provinces with the acquisitions of McTague Insurance, DPM Insurance Group, and Crowsnest Insurance Agencies.
Founded in 1949, McTague Insurance in New Brunswick offers personal and business insurance solutions for home, auto, boat, motorcycle, ATV, business interruption and commercial property. The company has locations in Saint John and Quispamsis.
Meanwhile, the Ontario-based DPM Insurance Group consists of five longstanding insurance brokerages with their origins tracing as far back as the 1902s. DPM has locations in Blenheim, Chatham, Essex, Tilbury, Harrow and Wallaceburg. It was noted that the brokerage works with local community members, and compares prices and policies of several insurance companies to provide bespoke insurance products. The group offers home, auto, motorcycle, ATV, boat, trailer, tenant, business and farm insurance.
Lastly, Crowsnest Insurance has been in operation for over 20 years. Based in Blairmore, AB, it offers a suite of products including home, auto, condo, tenant, recreational vehicle and business.
BrokerLink stated that following the deal, the current DPM Insurance Group, McTague Insurance and Crowsnest Insurance teams will continue to serve their respective local communities under the BrokerLink name.
“We believe that insurance is about people, and we’re dedicated to empowering our team members and providing exceptional customer service in the communities we serve,” said BrokerLink president Joe D’Annunzio.
D’Annunzio added that BrokerLink continues to be a “strong investor in the areas [it] operates,” and that the company is open to chats with broker principals who are thinking of the next stage for their brokerages.
According to a release, the three acquisitions bring BrokerLink’s total acquisitions in 2022 to 15 so far. In June, the company made a double acquisition and bought out Insurance Executives Brokers & Consultants and Goodison Insurance and Financial Services.
