Sedgwick's EFI Global adds trio to Western Canada line-up

Sedgwick subsidiary EFI Global has expanded its roster in western Canada with the arrival of mechanical and materials engineer Andre Feiferis, MSc. (pictured left), fire investigator Rod Lowet, CFEI, CCFI (pictured centre), and senior electrical consultant and fire investigator Abi Vijayan, B.Sc., CFEI, CFAA (pictured right). The three new colleagues are now part of the forensic engineering and fire investigation team.

Eric Lalli, assistant vice president of forensics for EFI Global in western Canada, commented on the new team members, saying: “The addition of Abi, Andre, and Rod to EFI Global strengthens our capacity to bring world-class expertise to our clients, and we are delighted to have these talented individuals join our team.”

Feiferis brings extensive experience in the design, failure analysis, and valuation of complex mechanical systems. His professional journey spans the insurance sector across the Americas, and he holds international registration as a professional engineer.

Meanwhile, Lowet has amassed over 15 years of experience in fire investigations and suppression, along with a background in wildfire management. His roles have included fire investigator, fire inspector, city and industrial firefighter, hazardous materials technician, confined space technician, emergency medical responder, paramedic, educator, and initial attack crew boss for the British Columbia Ministry of Forests.

As for Vijayan, the certified fire alarm inspector has more than 18 years of experience in electrical system design and failure analysis, specializing in building electrical systems for commercial and industrial applications, as well as large-scale international solar farm design. He has also completed over 500 alarm and safety inspections in high-rise buildings, schools, and manufacturing facilities.

Kevin Burgher, senior vice president of EFI Global Canada, remarked: “With local experts in Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia, EFI Global is well positioned to respond quickly to our client’s needs in the West.”

EFI Global has seven locations that serve western Canada.
