Credit Union Agencies Alliance Limited (CUAAL) – a strategic alliance that The Co-operators is a part of – has purchased Envision’s book of business in Aldergrove, BC.

According to a release, Envision’s building in Aldergrove had been closed down to make way for a new community centre in its place. But since CUAAL has purchased Envision’s local book of business, clients will still be able to receive financial services despite the building’s closure.

“As part of CUAAL, The Co-operators is happy to help facilitate a transaction that showcases how co-operative organizations work together to ensure the best experience for their members,” explained The Co-operators president and CEO Rob Wesseling. “We look forward to helping our new clients get the insurance and investment products they need to achieve financial security, and ultimately, peace of mind.”

The Co-operators revealed that current clients’ insurance coverage will remain in effect, with no changes to their premiums or coverage until the current term expires. Once the policies expire, the insurer will then offer “comparable” policies.

CUAAL is jointly owned by The Co-operators (which owns 50%) and participating credit union partners such as First Credit Union and Aldergrove Credit Union (who collectively own the other half).
