Insurance broker and consultant NFP has appointed Patrick Lundy to serve as senior vice-president of manufacturing and real estate in Canada, effective June 22, 2020.
As SVP of manufacturing and real estate, Lundy will be responsible for creating in-depth practice areas for both industries. He will work with the business development team on growth strategies and opportunities, a company statement said.
He will report to NFP managing director of business insurance Mandeep Singh, and will work closely with managing director Daryn McLean on growth initiatives. Lundy will also join NFP’s business insurance leadership team.
Lundy has over 24 years of insurance industry experience, including executive and business line leadership across risk advisory, underwriting, brokering, operations and distribution management. From 2012 to 2017, he served as the president and CEO of Zurich Canada. Lundy had also filled in senior executive roles at AIG and Travelers. He most recently led the general industries national business unit of brokerage Purves Redmond Limited. Lundy is also currently serving as board director of Assurant Life of Canada.
“We are pleased to welcome Patrick to our team,” said McLean. “NFP continues to invest in people who have expertise and leadership that accelerate growth. Our momentum is strong and adding someone with Patrick’s experience, relationships and market knowledge will be important to our efforts to achieve our goals in manufacturing and real estate.”
In February, NFP announced that several of the Canadian insurance brokerages it had acquired would adopt the NFP business name. According to the company, the decision to consolidate the brokerages under one name allows it to better respond to changing marketplace, technology and insurance needs.
