It’s coming up to the end of the second year of the
Select Sweepstakes campaign and the grins are big on both the faces of the winners and of the brokers. The Sweepstakes, which gives away a car every two months, has proven quite a draw for generating new inquiries and new business, says Sarah Barrett, spokesperson for National Brokers Insurance Services, which specializes in the provision of group insurance.
“It’s definitely working; the marketing material that we send out to all our groups, it’s attractive and colourful, and draws people in. It’s definitely drawn business towards us.”
The
Select Sweepstakes campaign is run in partnership between
Economical Select, a Canadaian provider of group car and home insurance, and 73 insurance brokers across Canada, offering eligible group members an opportunity to win prizes.
The grand prize of a car is drawn every two months, and this offering is supplemented by the $100 gas card given away every month to a winner from each specific brokerage.
The real surprise is that no purchase is necessary. “All you have to do is get a quote and then you are entered into the draw,” says Barrett. “As long as you qualify within one of our groups, you are able to get a quote and your name is immediately entered into the Sweepstakes. It provides great incentive for our group members. In this particular case our winner saved $1500 on their insurance and then her name was randomly selected and she won the car!”
The last draw of the current
Select Sweepstakes campaign is due next month, when the prize will be a 2016 BMW 4 Series.
