HUB International has appointed Ilana Shulman (pictured) as chief compliance officer.
Shulman’s role will focus on enhancing the management and development of HUB’s global compliance initiatives. She will report to John Albright, HUB’s chief legal officer.
Albright noted: “Ilana is a strategic business partner, trusted advisor, and wonderful addition to our legal and compliance team.
“She has extensive experience working in the highly regulated healthcare sector, as well as corporate governance, commercial contracting, license arrangements, compliance/ethics, and public affairs/policy.
“Her expertise will further HUB’s ability to successfully navigate the ever-changing business and regulatory landscapes.”
In her new position, Shulman will collaborate closely with HUB’s legal department to ensure the company’s compliance practices meet all relevant federal regulations and corporate guidelines.
She will also spearhead a newly established centralized licensing team and provide support for various programs, including enterprise risk management and environmental, social, and governance.
Before joining HUB, Shulman served as chief compliance officer at a major global brokerage firm and a medical technology manufacturer. In these roles, she was instrumental in developing and enhancing global ethics and compliance programs.
Shulman also brings experience from her tenure as an attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell and her clerkship for the Chief Judge of the Court of International Trade.
