Two Alberta-based insurance brokerages - Lloyd Sadd Insurance Brokers and Iridium Risk Services - have announced they will merge effective November 1, 2025, forming one of the largest full-service insurance brokerages in Western Canada. The combined firm will operate under the Lloyd Sadd name, with Iridium becoming a new division called Lloyd Sadd Specialty, which will focus on complex and risk-managed client needs.
Both firms are part of Navacord, one of Canada’s largest multi-line insurance and financial services brokerages, headquartered in Toronto. Navacord was founded in 2014 and now represents over 50 local brands, with more than $5 billion in premiums across commercial and personal insurance, group benefits, financial planning, and specialty services.
Lloyd Sadd is a founding Navacord Broker Partner, and Iridium has been a Navacord partner since 2015. According to the companies, the decision to merge was driven by aligned values and a goal of expanding service capabilities and technical expertise.

The combined firm will offer expanded services including insurance, benefits and pension plans, life and wealth management, and private client solutions. Leadership from both organizations will remain in place. Huebner will continue as president & CEO, while Berto Di Manno, currently president & CEO of Iridium, will become executive chairman. Andy Barker will take on the role of vice president, Lloyd Sadd Specialty.

Lloyd Sadd was founded in 1941 and is headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. Iridium has operated in Alberta for 20 years and is known for its risk management focus and industry specialization.
