Gore Mutual has continued to strengthen its senior management team with the appointment of Sonia Boyle (pictured) as new chief human resources officer.

She boasts nearly three decades of experience in senior human resources roles, spanning several industries, including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and professional services.

Boyle joins Gore Mutual from TD Bank Group, where she was vice-president of human resources. She led HR strategy for the bank’s key lines, including digital, innovation, payments, and customer channels.

She also served as vice-president of HR at GE Canada and held key leadership roles at Deloitte and Maple Leaf Foods.

Boyle will spearhead the company’s talent acquisition strategy, which chief executive officer Andy Taylor says is key to Gore Mutual’s “scalable growth plans.”

“Our transformation journey will redefine Gore Mutual and our place in the industry,” Taylor said. “But for our plan to be successful, we need to have a clear people strategy and a strong foundation to support our employees through a culture of inclusion and belonging. I have every confidence that Sonia will help create and lead this strategy while continuing to build on the excellent work already in progress within our HR team.”

Boyle also expressed excitement at her new role.

“I’m thrilled for this opportunity to lead and transform the people practices and strategies that will support Gore Mutual’s growth, and create high-performance leadership and capabilities across the business,” she said. “We’re building an innovative and transformational HR strategy that will continue to elevate the organization.”
