McLachlan has more than 40 years of experience in the Canadian insurance industry, including starting and growing several insurance companies, such as Trinity Underwriting, Berkley Canada, and Creechurch International Underwriters (now Beazley Canada). His goal is to improve the image of the insurance industry in the country, while providing exciting opportunities and challenges for individuals who have chosen the industry for their careers.

The Trinity team is active in supporting causes that matter to its communities. During the summer in 2019, team members showed their support to the Bethell Hospice Foundation, the Ontario chapter of the Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC), and Children’s Mental Health Ontario by taking part in a charity golf tournament.
