At Zurich, Hilary Bates leads a team of professionals who are dedicated to delivering operational excellence and outstanding customer service. Throughout her career, Bates has held senior claims management roles with a track record of delivering on customer, people, fi nancial and transformation objectives. She has deep technical knowledge across fi rst- and third-party claims and is experienced in managing operational teams.
Bates started her career in private practice, working in insurance, risk management and litigation practice groups before moving into insurance in 2004. She worked in the US for seven years, gaining experience across complex claims and senior claims management, before returning to Australia in 2013 and taking on her current role at Zurich in 2016.
