Xceedance has expanded its Australian team by appointing Mayur Khatwani as associate vice president of client partner in Australia.

Khatwani (pictured) brings over two decades of experience in digital operations and automation within the insurance and financial services industries.

Prateek Vijayvergia, business leader for key accounts in Australia and New Zealand, said that Khatwani’s expertise in operational leadership, client management, and strategic development would play a crucial role in aiding Xceedance’s efforts to support and transform the Australian insurance industry.

Based in Melbourne since 2017, Khatwani spent nearly eight years at IT and business consultancy firm Wipro and most recently worked with cloud computing company PagerDuty.

His professional background also includes roles at WNS Global Services in India, where he managed insurance business process outsourcing (BPO), and at IT consultancy Mphasis in the US, where he served as a solutions lead for insurance BPO.

Khatwani said he aims to help customers reduce costs, streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and equip their workforce with advanced technological tools.

“I am excited to join Xceedance at such a pivotal time for the company and the insurance industry generally. I look forward to working with the Xceedance team to deliver exceptional value to clients and drive continued growth in the Australian market,” he said.

Xceedance has significantly grown its operations in Australia over the past decade. The company has invested in the region by sponsoring the claims team of the year award at the annual ANZIIF Australian insurance industry awards and becoming a platinum sponsor of the Underwriting Agencies Council (UAC).

It was recently recognised as the Best Service Provider – Claims at the Insurance Business 2024 awards. It has also been urging insurance companies to brace for regulatory evolution poised to reshape the landscape in 2024 and 2025.
