MetLife Australia has introduced “Manage My Insurance,” a new online platform that enables members of its partner superannuation funds to manage their life insurance coverage digitally.

The platform provides users with tools to review and modify their insurance policies, track application statuses, and access policy documents in a secure, online environment.

MetLife’s Manage My Insurance

The launch of “Manage My Insurance” aligns with MetLife’s broader strategy to enhance its digital offerings and create more tailored experiences for super fund members.

This platform aims to simplify the insurance management process by offering a user-friendly interface where members can make informed decisions about their coverage at their convenience.

Lina Saliba, chief customer and marketing officer at MetLife Australia, emphasised the company’s focus on technological innovation.

“Manage My Insurance is part of our digital transformation journey, as we continue to invest in technology and innovation to enhance our digital customer experience and deliver on our promise of being a trusted insurer,” she said.

This initiative also serves as a tool to drive greater engagement with life insurance among superannuation fund members – with MetLife’s research indicating that members who actively manage their insurance are more likely to recommend their super fund to others, underscoring the value of this new digital tool.

MetLife’s corporate calculator for employee health program

MetLife has also introduced a corporate impact calculator designed to quantify the benefits of its 360Health program, which aims to enhance employee health and reduce absenteeism.

The 360Health program offers a range of health and wellness services, including mental health resources, access to medical specialists, virtual healthcare, and early intervention strategies. These services are available at no additional cost to employees insured by MetLife, as well as their families.

The newly launched corporate impact calculator is designed to help employers estimate the financial impact of implementing the 360Health program. Factors such as absenteeism, presenteeism, medical costs, and employee retention are considered in these estimates.

Saliba highlighted the significance of health and wellness in the workplace.

“At MetLife, we believe that employee health and wellness is not just about personal wellbeing; it’s also a business imperative,” she said.

MetLife cautioned that the estimates provided by the calculator are based on data input by employers and should be viewed as approximations. The company advised users to conduct their own analysis, as actual outcomes may differ due to various factors, including employee behaviour.
