The new platform, bindIT, boasts unique features, including a secure link that allows clients to enter their details and send them to their broker for review. If the broker is satisfied with the information, it can be submitted to the platform at the click of a button, providing less room for error and requiring no double entry.
“We want our brokers to have the option to transact with us online when it suits them and be able to quote and bind a policy in just a few minutes. That's exactly what we're offering with our bindIT broker portal,” said Tony Wheatley, chief executive officer of Berkley Insurance Australia.
Berkley developed bindIT in response to brokers' slow and outdated manual approach in getting a quote on behalf of clients.
With the platform, brokers no longer have to spend their time rummaging through piles of old policy documents and phoning underwriters to get a simple quote.
In 30 seconds, brokers can obtain a tentative “Quick Quote,” which they can advise their client on, either in person or on the phone. If they wish to proceed, the whole process of getting a quote, downloading documents, and binding the policy takes less than a few minutes.
Through the platform, brokers can choose up to three different, customisable policy options for their clients.
