QBE Re has announced the promotion of Amanda Lupkin (pictured above) to the position of vice president and head of its North America Health Practice.
Lupkin, who joined QBE in 2021, brings over 15 years of experience in the reinsurance industry to her new role.
Prior to her time at QBE, Lupkin held various positions in the reinsurance sector, including at DHR Management, PartnerRe, Heartland Fidelity, and Munich Re. Her extensive background in this field positions her well for her new responsibilities at QBE Re.
Lupkin’s appointment marks the fifth senior-level promotion within QBE Re in 2024. Earlier appointments include Carmen DeSilva (Bermuda), Salvatore Sama (New York), Jane Farren (New York), and Derek Durst (London).
“Amanda brings a wealth of knowledge to the role. She has played a pivotal part in the development of our health franchise in North America and we look forward to further progress in 2024. Her appointment is another great example of the internal talent we have within QBE Re,” QBE Re North America general manager Tim Barber said.
