Independent specialist re/insurance brokerage Miller has announced the appointment of Cedric Thevenot (pictured above) as an account executive.
Thevenot will join the company on Sept. 2 and will be based in Paris. He will collaborate closely with Didier Loiseau, head of Miller Sport in Paris, and the broader Sports and Entertainment team at Miller.
Thevenot brings over 30 years of industry experience to his new role, having most recently worked at Verspieren, an independent French brokerage. He has also held senior positions at Gras Savoye and AXA, with a focus on the sports and entertainment sector.
This appointment is part of Miller's ongoing efforts to strengthen its European Sports and Entertainment offerings, which were bolstered by the acquisition of Henner Sport in 2022.
Miller’s sports and entertainment division supports over 50 clubs across football, basketball, rugby, cycling, and handball, as well as more than 850 professional footballers in 30 countries. This includes 75% of the French national football and basketball teams.
Didier Loiseau, head of Miller’s Paris sports team, expressed confidence in Thevenot’s addition to the team, noting his strong reputation in the market and longstanding professional relationship. Loiseau highlighted that Thevenot would contribute to the continued growth of Miller’s sports and entertainment offerings in Europe.
Thevenot also commented on his new role, emphasizing his admiration for the passion that Didier and his team have shown for their clients, which has driven the team's successful expansion over the years. He expressed his eagerness to contribute to the growth of one of the leading teams in the market.
In other recent developments, Miller has also announced the appointment of Edward Cheak as head of credit and political risk insurance (CPRI) for Asia.
Cheak will be based in Miller’s Singapore office. He will collaborate closely with Benjamin Gibbons, head of CPRI in London, and the broader CPRI team to extend Miller’s services beyond London and Europe into Asia.
