Independent global specialty re/insurer broker McGill and Partners has appointed Andre du Preez as its head of emerging technology.
In this role, du Preez will contribute to advancing the firm's digital-first strategy by integrating emerging technologies and promoting innovation.
Du Preez brings experience in developing and implementing machine learning applications, which McGill and Partners expects will enhance its offerings to clients. His focus will be on driving technological advancements and fostering a creative environment to ensure the firm maintains its position in the evolving insurance market.
He joins McGill and Partners from Miller, where he led innovation initiatives as head of innovation. At Miller, he focused on artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies to create digital solutions for the insurance sector.
He also has experience developing digital products at Miller and Vitality, and he previously worked in business consultancy in London and Johannesburg.
Simon Bradbury, chief technology officer at McGill and Partners, highlighted du Preez’s expertise in leveraging advanced technologies.
