Lockton Re has appointed Daniel Moruzzi (pictured above left) and Matthew Cope (pictured above right) as senior brokers in its international property and casualty (P&C) division in London.

Moruzzi brings extensive experience in the casualty and financial lines market. He began his career at Everest Re in 1999 and later joined Barbican to help develop its international casualty treaty portfolio. At Ascot, Moruzzi served as class underwriter, managing the combined International and North American portfolios.

He has also chaired the International Underwriting Association (IUA) Professional Lines Underwriters Group and served as deputy chair for the Lloyd's Market Association (LMA) International Casualty panel.

Cope joins Lockton Re with over a decade of industry experience, most recently as a casualty treaty broker at Aon. He started his career at Aspen and spent eight years at Aon, initially with Aon Inpoint advising re/insurer clients on corporate strategy and distribution, before transitioning to the international casualty treaty team.

In this role, he managed the structuring and placement of global casualty and financial lines reinsurance treaties for major composite insurers and Lloyd's syndicates.

Carla Moffett, head of international P&C at Lockton Re, noted that the addition of Moruzzi and Cope aligns with the division’s strategy for future growth in 2025.

“As a team, we are known for our technical expertise, diligent approach, and market knowledge; both Dan and Matt will be great additions to this capability as we add more depth to the division to support our growth aspirations,” Moffett said.

Keith Harrison, CEO of International at Lockton Re, highlighted the significance of the international casualty and financial/professional lines sector to the firm.

“Dan and Matt are great additions to our team, and we all look forward to welcoming them both to the dynamic and exciting culture at Lockton Re,” Harrison said.
