Zurich Financial Services Australia has announced the appointment of Pauline Vamos (pictured above) as an independent director and chair of Zurich Assure. Vamos joins existing board members, Kieran Forde and Matthew Drennan.

Vamos has extensive experience across the financial services, insurance, and regulatory landscape. Prior to joining Zurich, she held positions as director of financial services regulation at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC), chief executive officer at the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA), and head of legal and compliance Tower Life.

Aside from being part of the Zurich board, Vamos also serves as a non-executive board member of Mercer Superannuation (Australia) Limited, chair and president of the Governance Institute of Australia, chairperson of K2fly, a non-executive director at Chief Executive Women, and chair of Interaction Disability Services Limited.
