Resolution Life Australasia, part of Resolution Life, has announced new appointments to its executive team and marketing and partnerships team.
The appointments are part of the company’s strategy to enhance product management and customer engagement in the superannuation, investments, and life insurance sectors.
Dean Mulheron (pictured) has been named chief product and marketing officer. In this position, he will focus on the development of innovative products and maintaining relationships with financial advisers.
Since joining Resolution Life in 2022, Mulheron has led product management and underwriting. He has over 15 years of experience in the life insurance, reinsurance, and superannuation industries, both domestically and internationally.
Nathan Taggart will take on the role of leading marketing, partnerships, and retention.
Lisa Hayes, who recently joined Resolution Life as head of governance and company secretary, has been promoted to general counsel and company secretary.
In her new role, she will manage the legal and governance division. Her prior experience includes leadership roles at Integrity Life, Centric Wealth, and Perpetual Limited.
Mulheron and Hayes will both join the executive leadership team and report to Resolution Life Australasia CEO Tim Tez.
“These new appointments will play an important part in our ongoing customer service and retention focus, delivering valued customer offerings and ensuring we are well placed for future growth,” Tez said. “Dean and Lisa have already made significant contributions to our business, so I am very pleased to welcome them to the executive leadership team in these important new roles.”
The appointments come on the heels of the finalisation of Resolution Life’s reinsurance agreement through its Bermuda-based platform, Resolution Re, with a Japanese insurance company.
This agreement is the first of its kind for the Japanese insurer and is designed to expand its capacity while improving the competitiveness of its products, specifically for fixed annuity policyholders.
Resolution Life said the deal leverages its expertise in block reinsurance and mergers and acquisitions.
