Zurich Life & Investments has appointed Darren Wickham (pictured) as the head of group insurance, a key partner-facing role that complements the group's other recent leadership appointments.
Wickham has an in-depth and specialised knowledge of group insurance and retirement income. He has nearly 30 years of experience as an actuary and specialist in superannuation and retirement income and benefits, including as a partner in Mercer's retirement, risk, and finance practice and a former actuary of the year.
Before joining Zurich's life & investment leadership team, Wickham spent nine years at TAL, recently serving as executive general manager – group life. In his new role, he will provide focus and support to the life & investment team's portfolio of superannuation fund and corporate group insurance partners. He will join Zurich in March 2021.
