Zurich appoints two broker relationship leaders

A global multi-line insurer has announced the latest additions to its Victorian and Tasmanian general insurance team.

Appointed as Zurich's new broker relationship leaders were Darren Jones, who will help the insurer execute its distribution strategy in Victoria and Tasmania, and will be responsible for Zurich’s relationship nationally with Austbrokers & IBNA Member Services (AIMS); and Thomas Barker, who will join Zurich's southern markets team.

Jones joins Zurich from CGU Insurance, where he was most recently national relationship manager for CGU business partner solutions. He brings with him more than three decades of industry experience in underwriting, relationship management, and business development roles.

Barker, on the other hand, joined Zurich in 2014, and was most recently leader of Zurich's 'Broker Edge' team. He has experience working across a range of underwriting, relationship management, and leadership roles.
