The global brokerage WTW has a new leader for Australia and New Zealand. A media release this morning has announced that from July 15, James Baum (pictured above) will be the firm’s local head and also head of Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) ANZ.
Baum has moved from another global broker, Aon, where he spent 18 years, including as its Sydney based Australia CEO.
“James is a seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience and has a proven track record of supporting growth and managing business operations,” said Pamela Thomson-Hall, WTW’s head of International and head of Risk & Broking International. “We've made tremendous progress and built great foundations for growth in Australasia in recent years, thanks to Simon Weaver.”
The firm’s release said Weaver will continue as WTW head of Asia Pacific and head of CRB for Asia Pacific.
“I am excited to be joining WTW at a time of significant growth and opportunity in Australasia,” said Baum.
“With James’ deep knowledge and experience in the region, I am confident that he will supercharge our growth,” said Weaver.
