A Brisbane-based underwriting agency has launched a new division and appointed a former Beazley Underwriting leader as its new head.
Woodina Underwriting’s new accident and health division commenced operations this June, led by Suzie White, previously head of Beazley Underwriting in Australia.
Also joining the new division are Terina Ngawaka, who was also an underwriter at Beazley Australia, and industry veteran Don Booker, who has been involved with Lloyd’s in the A&H sector all of his insurance career, mainly as a coverholder.
Woodina CEO Michael Wood said White was highly respected for the breadth of her understanding of bespoke A&H policies and has a broad broker-support base, flowing from her dedication to broker service and her flexibility in meeting clients’ needs.
