Willis Towers Watson has announced a new senior hire for its business in Asia Pacific.
Matt Houghton has joined the firm as a senior consultant of strategy in its insurance consulting and software business in the region as the firm looks to build on its consulting services for the insurance industry.
In the newly created role, Houghton will consult the industry on strategic development, distribution and M&A opportunities.
Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson, Houghton was head of strategic transformation at AmMetLife Insurance, a Malaysian joint venture between
MetLife and AmBank Group. He previously spent time with
MetLife,
AXA and Aviva.
“As new trends, such as digitalisation, strategic transformation, customer centricity, and increased M&A activity create new opportunities and challenges in Asia Pacific, Matt’s experience will certainly add value and depth to our business, and to our clients, as we look to serve their needs with additional strategy consulting services,” Kevin Angelini, head of strategy for Willis Towers Watson’s insurance consulting and software business in Asia Pacific, said.
Houghton commenced his role on March 21 and is based in Hong Kong.
