Insurance Business Australia (IB) continues celebrating Women's History Month by featuring outstanding female insurance professionals in the country. This year, Alexandra Ferguson, state manager (Victoria) and account director at Avatar Brokers, stood out among Australian insurance brokers, earning her spot in IB's Elite Brokers 2022.
Ferguson's (pictured) passion for problem-solving and client and insurer partnerships and her technical expertise help generate exciting opportunities to foster growth and expansion within Avatar Brokers. Over the past 15 years, she has committed to promoting the insurance profession through her involvement in various industry committees, including young professionals, diversity, and various mentoring roles.
In a previous interview with IB, Ferguson shared why she entered the insurance industry and built her insurance career.
“Who wouldn't want to work in an industry that is diverse, dynamic, exciting, and fun every day of the week?” she said. “It may sound clichéd, but I really thrive on the abundance of opportunity presented within our profession! We are so lucky as brokers to engage with so many different stakeholders in our business life, from clients to insurers to lawyers and, of course, our fellow brokers. And although we work hard, we have the most phenomenal industry for networking and social events.”
