As a start-up, it is often difficult to get a foot in the door – particularly if it’s into an established industry like insurance.
This is where Insurance Business comes in. Insurance Business is looking for start-ups that are developing new solutions to take the insurance sector into the future.
Entries are now open to the Insurtech Summit 2019 Tech Den pitch fest where finalists will get the chance to pitch their solutions to a panel of judges and investors. The winner will receive a $20K marketing campaign with Insurance Business.
2018 Tech Den winner Andy Jamieson, CEO of Advisr, an insurtech that connects businesses with insurance brokers, says the pitch fest was a great platform to launch his start-up.
“Our model was tested publicly, there was great feedback on our pitch style and content,” he told Insurance Business. “The judges were all very helpful in framing our story and messaging and providing suggestions to get us to the next level.
“In addition, winning Tech Den provided great marketing through Insurance Business Magazine to reach and connect with our audience - insurance brokers. It provided credibility we couldn't have afforded to buy.”
Indeed, Jamieson said Advisr has been approached by many brokers and brokerage heads who were keen to learn more and explore partnerships together.
“It was a great experience and one that I'd recommend all insurtechs consider,” he says.
Entries to the 2019 Insurtech Summit Tech Den close January 31, 2019. Enter now.
