Centrewest Insurance Brokers (Centrewest), a Western Australian firm, has announced a new CEO. Starting today, Scott Cole (pictured above) becomes both CEO and managing director.
“Scott has proven leadership and business development skills which will be highly beneficial for Centrewest,” said the firm’s executive director Rick Post. “I have every confidence that through his experience and enthusiasm, the business will continue to flourish.”
Post, the firm’s former head as managing director “will remain on the Centrewest’s leadership team and continue to work with key clients and stakeholders,” said the release.
Cole recently took a six-month career break after spending nearly 15 years with Honan Insurance Group. The Perth native was a Honan director and, according to the Centrewest release, established Honan’s operation in WA.
On Friday, global brokerage Marsh completed its acquisition of Honan, a process that was first announced in August.
“I am honoured to be joining Centrewest, which I have long admired for its reputation within the industry,” said Cole. “I’m extremely excited to work with the leadership team and expanded board to drive the strategic direction that will support the evolution of the business.”
Centrewest, part of the Steadfast brokerage network, was founded in 1987 in Perth and has a team of more than 40 brokers, said the release.
According to its website, the firm offers coverages including construction, cyber and marine and “an entire suite of financial services.”
