Dual Australia has appointed of Bernadette Casey as national claims manager effective 4 November.
Casey brings a wealth of senior broking, underwriting, reinsurance underwriting and management experience to the Dual team, with her most recent role at LawCover Insurance. Clinton Evans, Dual Australia COO, said: “Bernadette’s well-rounded knowledge of the insurance industry and strong operational skills will ensure Dual is positioned to continue providing quality consistent claims service.”
Acting national claims manager, Jaydon Burke-Douglas, will reassume his role of specialty risks Practice Leader after a handover period with Bernadette. Clinton Evans said: “Jaydon has been an incredible asset to Dual throughout a turbulent period for our claims department, working tirelessly to ensure that Dual’s brokers and insureds are not affected. We are extremely thankful for the contribution Jaydon has made.”
As part of the changes to Dual’s claims department, Simone Shepherd has also been promoted to claims practice leader. This promotion reflects the immense contribution Shepherd has made to the claims function since joining Dual in 2011.
Following the recent fraud, Dual is also pleased to advise that all JAAG invoices have now been reversed from Dual’s systems, and most importantly all binders were renewed on 1 October with the same insurers.
