Arena Underwriting has announced that it has entered into a new binding arrangement with
Berkley Insurance Australia.
Effective October 1, Berkley will be the security for public and products liability, professional indemnity, management liability, prize indemnity, cancellation of events and voluntary workers personal accident cover, the underwriter said in a statement.
“The change to Berkley Insurance Australia will bring with it enhancements to our pricing and policy structures which will greatly assist brokers and their clients for those involved in the entertainment/events, security and fire protection industries,” the company said.
“The added security of now being aligned with an A+ rated insurer provides further stability and peace of mind for brokers and clients. Claims are handled in house and authorised within Berkley Insurance Australia.”
The move to Berkley will not affect equipment cover placed with Arena as
Chubb will remain as the insurer for this line, the company noted.
“We are very excited about this new development for our core business product lines,” the statement continued.
“Partnering with Berkley Insurance Australia will further enhance Arena’s position as the leading underwriting agency specialising in the placement of entertainment/events, security and fire protection risks.”
