Insurance Business is pleased to announce the winners of the Brokers on Underwriting Agencies survey.
The industry-first survey saw brokers from across Australia choose the best underwriting agencies they deal with across six areas of specialisation, as brokers revealed that coverage and claims turnaround times were the most important indicators of a top underwriting agency.
With 22 medals handed out across the underwriting industry, including four ‘Brokers Pick’ awards,
Insurance Business editor, Tim Garratt said that he was pleased with the response to the Australia-first survey.
“It goes without saying that underwriting agencies form one of the most significant parts of the insurance community in Australia,” he says. “I am thrilled that, this year, we’ve added to our series of special report s to recognise some of their excellent work.
“I’ve been very pleased by the number of agencies willing to get involved in the inaugural survey.”
The Brokers on Underwriting Agencies survey recognises the best of the best across six areas of specialisation - accident and health, directors and officers liability, management liability, professional indemnity product liability and public liability.
Dual Australia took home three golds in the inaugural awards, and Garratt noted that the strength in depth of the industry is plain to see.
”In responding to our survey, brokers shared a wealth of positive reports about their experiences with several underwriting agencies in 2015. It’s great to read so many reports of effective broker-underwriter relationships, which ultimately result in a better experience for brokers’ clients.”
