TigerRisk, a risk, capital and strategic advisor to the global insurance and reinsurance industries, has appointed Jim Kilduff (pictured) to head up its managing general agents (MGA) business. Kilduff, who has served the reinsurance industry for 17 years and has two decades of experience in the MGA and program space, joins from his role as CEO of Harbor Hill Solutions.

In a press release, TigerRisk noted that Kilduff has extensive experience in helping MGAs to find and secure carriers partners as well as working with insurtechs, program managers, insurance and reinsurance companies, and retail and wholesale distributors. Before his role at Harbor Hill, he held several senior positions with companies including Outdoorsy Insurance Group, State National Insurance Companies, Morgan White Group, and Unique Capital Solutions.

Kilduff, who has a BSc degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Alabama, will be based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he will report to Lindsey Frase who heads Centers for Excellence at TigerRisk for North America. His job title will be head of programs.

Commenting on the appointment, TigerRisk CEO Rob Bredahl said he is delighted to add such an experienced insurance professional to the team. He added that the group sees “major growth opportunities” in the MGA space and that he looks forward to working with Kilduff to build out the business and enhance TigerRisk’s capabilities.

“I am excited to join the Tiger team and assist in growing our presence in this ever-expanding market segment,” said Mr. Kilduff. “TigerRisk’s resources and market strength in reinsurance, capital markets and strategic advisory are exactly what MGAs and program managers need to grow their businesses. I am especially energised by the team culture at Tiger and can’t wait to bring this message to a broader audience.”
