Life insurer TAL is sponsoring the inaugural Financial Advice Association of Australia (FAAA) Awards, which recognises people providing Australians the “highest standards of professional and trusted advice.”
TAL will sponsor the Inspire Women – Excellence in Advice Awards as it continues its commitment to celebrating women in the advice profession.
In a statement, the company said it is proud to sponsor the award celebrating female leadership, adding that the award category is something it has supported for more than 10 years.
As the industry continues to advocate for diversity, TAL welcomes the opportunity to support a “strong financial advice profession,” said Beau Riley, TAL’s general manager for retail sales and new business.
“Diversity in advice is important for clients, advisers and the profession, providing pathways for more women to seek the help of a professional adviser and ensuring the profession better reflects the community it represents,” Riley said.
He also noted that the Inspire Women – Excellence in Advice Award is a platform for promoting diversity and driving “positive change” in financial advice, recognising women making a “significant contribution to the profession, their community, and their clients while also allowing female advisers to influence the industry’s future.
“We encourage advisers to participate across all categories of the inaugural FAAA awards,” Riley said.
