Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Melanie Slack, current head of the firm’s Australia and New Zealand business, as its new head of UK, Ireland, SA & EMEA wholesale, effective May 01, 2021.
Slack will relocate from Sydney to London to start her new role, where she will be responsible for managing the strategy, development, and performance of the company's presence in the British, Irish and South African corporate insurance markets.
A seasoned executive, Slack has been a part of the Swiss Re Group since 2001, gaining international experience in various senior management positions in underwriting, internal audit, and public-private partnerships. She has over 30 years of experience in the re/insurance industry and has worked in Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Switzerland, the UK, and the USA.
