A Suncorp leader has nabbed a prestigious scholarship for a video submission outlining his innovative, data-driven approach to CTP insurance which incorporates the risks associated with ride-sharing services.
Michael Gregory, Suncorp’s portfolio planning manager, won the 2019 Peter Corrigan Scholarship for Innovation and Leadership by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), and has been awarded up to $10,000 to attend an international conference or seminar program that provides an industry- or leadership-based professional-development opportunity.
Gregory “showed strong leadership and employed an innovative data-driven strategy in solving a challenging insurance-industry issue,” said Scott Collings, principal and managing director of Finity Consulting, which funded the award. “His use of the video format certainly impressed, but not only that, it served to emphasise the highly supportive environment he works in which is a credit to his employer.”
Prue Willsford, CEO of ANZIIF, said Gregory’s winning video “was a powerful way of communicating thought leadership, lateral thinking, and advanced problem solving.”
