Suncorp Group has announced the appointment of Michael Miller to the position of executive general manager commercial and intermediated.
Miller, who is currently the group’s EGM personal injury claims, has been with Suncorp for more than 10 years and previously held roles including chief financial officer commercial and CFO insurance, as well as EGM motor, property, and speciality claims, which included commercial claims.

Lisa Harrison, chief executive officer, insurance product and portfolio at Suncorp Group, said Miller’s previous experience means he has a deep understanding of the commercial business and claims operations.
“Michael is a highly regarded leader in the team and brings not only expertise, but the right energy and passion to the role as we continue to focus on delivering on our ambitions within the commercial and Intermediated portfolio,” said Harrison. “I’m delighted to welcome Michael to the team and am looking forward to working with him to support our broker partners and commercial customers.”
In a statement, the group said that Miller will commence in his new role on October 18. Meanwhile, Matt Pearson, who was acting in the role, will return to his role as EGM statutory classes.
