Strata insurance specialist CHU continues its cycle of growth with two new appointments, naming Daniel Hunt as its new operations manager and Gordon Bell as the head of distribution.
CHU has also promoted Craig Stanley and Katrina Johnson to national business development managers, under the recently appointed chief customer officer Anirudh Kakulapati.
Beginning January 2023, Hunt will report to general manager Chris Frazer at CHU Services, which encompasses CHU Assess and CHU Consult. Hunt is a well-known professional in the strata and real estate industries. His previous industry roles include being the general manager of Ace Body Corporate Management.
“I am thrilled to be welcoming Daniel to the CHU team,” said CHU CEO Kimberly Jonsson. “This appointment will strengthen the CHU Services offering to the market and enable continued growth.”
Jonsson said CHU Services was established in 2018 to meet the demand from customers for CHU’s technical knowledge of strata buildings and holistic approach to risk management within strata property.
Bell is likewise an industry veteran, bringing more than 15 years’ experience in the broker, strata property, and insurance markets to CHU.
“I'm [pleased] to have Gordon returning to CHU bringing his broad experience and infectious enthusiasm,” Jonsson said.
Commenting on the two new promotions within CHU’s customer service team, Jonsson added: “Craig and Katrina have demonstrated excellence in business development manager roles, both having been recognised for their service and commitment to their clients at an industry level…. I’m excited about these appointments as they strengthen CHU’s ability to serve our customers right across Australia.”
Earlier this year, CHU appointed Alison Bell – yet another property claims expert with an 18-year history in UK and Australia claims – as the claims relationships and governance manager and Vincent Norton Scott as its technical claims manager. CHU’s newest appointments to its distribution and customer service teams reflect the company’s renewed prioritisation of customer experience in the middle of its rapid business growth.
