AXIS Specialty Australia has announced that Denis O’Sullivan has joined the business as a senior property underwriter.
With over 25 years’ experience in the industry, O’Sullivan has worked in both insurance and reinsurance in Australia, the United Kingdom and Asia and will report to national property manager, Damien Leembruggen.
O’Sullivan has spent the last five years as a senior property underwriter for
Vero and was previously COO for Willis in Japan.
The company noted that O’Sullivan’s experience includes “property technical underwriting, account management, new business development, and a strong risk management focus.”
The move follows a flurry of recent hiring activity with
JLT Re and
Zurich each announcing new chief operating officers and one
major player announcing a new CEO for their Australian business.
