Axis Specialty Australia has expanded its property underwriting capabilities in the Brisbane market by hiring property underwriter Suzie Grierson.
Grierson has worked in the insurance industry for more than seven years. Her most recent role was product manager at
Altiora Insurance Solutions, where her underwriting authority spanned across industrial special risks, public & products liability, machinery & equipment breakdown and associations liability.
In 2012 she spent nine weeks on secondment in London working for Gibbs Hartley Cooper, a
Marsh Ltd-owned Lloyd’s broking company. Before that she was training and compliance co-ordinator and executive assistant at Austcover and renewals consultant at Your Insurance Group.
Grierson will report to national property lines manager Brendan Walsh and work closely with the AXIS Brisbane team. Walsh welcomed Grierson to her new role, saying the expanded property division in Brisbane was testimony to Axis’ growth in Queensland.
