Sparke Helmore has announced its participation in the Ronald McDonald House’s #12DaysRMHChristmas donor appeal this month, with the specialist insurance law firm contributing an initial $1,000 to the worthwhile cause.
The move follows the appointment of Andrew White, the firm’s chairman, to the Ronald McDonald House northern board.
Every dollar donated will be used by the organisation to provide essential care and keep families together this Christmas while they support their sick kids in hospital.
“We are honoured to have been allocated day 10 in the #12DaysRMHChristmas donor appeal this with our colleagues in the Newcastle office coming together for a festive photo to support this incredible cause,” Sparke Helmore said. “Earlier this year, three-year-old Vinnie suffered a devastating prolonged seizure. Vinnie and his family were flown to John Hunter Children’s Hospital to receive the urgent care he needed while his family were able to stay close by at Ronald McDonald House. Sadly, sick children all over Australia will be spending Christmas in hospital and families just like Vinnie’s will receive support from Ronald McDonald House.”
