SLE Worldwide Australia has partnered with the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) as the naming rights sponsor for the Andrew Johns Cup and Laurie Daley Cup. Through this partnership, SLE will support future Rugby League stars in regional NSW for the next three years.
Both Cups kick-off this weekend as part of NSWRL's junior representative season, with over 400 players and 10 teams set to compete from both competitions.
SLE has a strong association with the NSWRL, having been a long-term partner of the Country Rugby League before it joined the NSWRL. SLE managing director Brad French emphasised the firm’s demonstrated history in the sports industry, adding that they look forward to supporting NSWRL for the upcoming season.
“We’re excited to continue our 25-year association with NSWRL by sponsoring the Andrew Johns Cup and Laurie Daley Cup, and we'll look forward to seeing the next generation of Rugby League stars showcase their talent in these competitions,” French said.
“We are proud to be associated with NSWRL and their representative pathway and look forward to a strong relationship in 2021 and beyond.”
Commenting on the sponsorship, NSWRL head of football Robert Lowrie said: “SLE has been a long-standing supporter of regional Rugby League, so it is fantastic to have them on board as the official naming rights sponsor of the Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley Cups.”
NSWRL chief commercial officer Jodie Cross added: “We welcome SLE into the NSWRL partnership family and look forward to working with them.”
