Sedgwick has named Tracey Harris as its new chief operating officer (COO) in Australia. She will play a significant role in launching the company's capability advancement and workforce absence and compensation programmes in the country.
Harris boasts more than 20 years of C-suite leadership experience in the insurance, health, and aviation industries in Australia and Asia, as well as in emergency assistance within the public, private, not-for-profit, and government sectors. She has used her leadership skills over the years to lead many large-scale transformation and automation initiatives, in addition to comprehensive technology, optimisation, and talent campaigns.
As COO for Australia, she will focus on Sedgwick's expansive property and professional services business and support its technological advancements.
Sedgwick CEO Australia Diego Ascani deemed Harris a true leader in the industry, highlighting her experience in driving companies' digital and claims performance transformation strategies.

Harris's appointment follows Sedgwick's decision to align its in-person and virtual training courses and expand its offering for developing, upskilling, and attracting new talent under the division name Sedgwick University.
The company expects Harris to play a vital role in talent and performance strategies to support its continued growth. She will also oversee the expansion of new, state-of-the-art learning methodologies, such as those offered by Sedgwick University, which provides courses to educate current and future adjusters, examiners, appraisers, forensic engineers, inspectors, case managers, client service directors, risk control professionals, and other specialists.
