Sedgwick has named its new management team for Asia-Pacific, following its strategic acquisition of Cunningham Lindsey and the combining of the two firms’ operations.
After 10 years with Cunningham Lindsey, Damon Bennett was appointed CEO for Asia-Pacific. He will lead the team in the region, which includes nine countries in Asia, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
“As a new leadership team, we are focused on working together to bring the best of Sedgwick to our clients,” Bennett said. “Now that we are backed by their strength and resources, we are the largest and most capable claim management firm in the world, and we are committed to reflecting that in our growth ambitions in Australia.”
Meanwhile, Diego Ascani will remain as chief operating officer, with an overall responsibility for operations and service delivery in the Asia-Pacific region. Anita Wilson has been appointed head of client and sales, and will lead and manage the sales, broker and account management teams across all new and existing Australia service sectors. Jason Wyer remains as head of people and performance, while Andrew Firth will continue as chief financial officer for Australia.
The acquisition has necessitated changes to Sedgwick’s structure and business strategy.
“In order to meet the ongoing needs of our clients and customers, it is critical that we continue to review and adapt our enterprise and service line strategies, and consequently, our internal organisational structure,” Ascani said.
For Australia, Gary Pahl was appointed states and territory manager for New South Wales, Australian capital territory, Victoria and Tasmania; Belinda Powell as state manager for Queensland; and Bradley Johnson as states and territory manager for South Australia, Northern Territory, and Western Australia.
