The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (
ANZIIF) and TurksLegal have opened submissions for the 2017
ANZIIF TurksLegal Claims Scholarship, designed to recognise excellence in general insurance and provide a significant career-development opportunity for professionals in the general insurance industry in Australia.
Now in its 10th year, the scholarship is open to professionals who are residents or based in Australia and directly work in a capacity connected with general insurance. To qualify for the scholarship, eligible applicants must submit a 2,500-word paper addressing one of the five questions found in the application form.

The winner will get to choose from the following prizes:
- an overseas conference package valued up to $8,000, including registration to the 2018 Claims Conference and Insurance Services Expo held in Orlando, Florida, return flights, accommodation, and $500 spending money; or
- $5,000 cash and registration to the 2018 AICLA/ANZIIF Claims Convention held in Australia, including return flights and two nights’ accommodation.
The winner will also be invited to join senior industry leaders as a judge for the 2018 ANZIIF TurksLegal Claims Scholarship.

Interested applicants have until Oct. 9 at 5 pm (AEST) to submit their entries, with the winner to be announced at the ANZIIF General Insurance Breakfast in Sydney on Dec. 6.
